WiFi QR Code Generator: Share Your Network Without the Password
Type the network name, password and security type once and get a QR code guests scan to join. No password has to be read out or typed on somebody else phone, and the details are never sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Which WiFi security types are supported?
WPA and WPA2, WPA3, WEP for old hardware, and open networks with no password. The encoding differs per type, and iOS and Android both understand all four, so the guest scan joins without choosing anything.
Is it safe to print a QR code for my home network?
It is a password written in a form a phone can read, so treat the printed sheet like the password itself: show it, do not pin it up in public, and change the network password if the sheet goes missing. The whole operation runs inside your browser tab; the file is never uploaded, so nothing is stored or logged.
The network name has spaces or symbols. Will it still work?
Yes. The payload is escaped correctly for names with spaces, ampersands and non Latin characters, which is what breaks most hand written WiFi QR codes.
